US – Pennsylvania propped up by online as tables and slots fall

Record online gaming results have helped drive Pennslyvania’s gaming revenues up by 5.7 per cent in October.

Hollywood Casino at Penn National generated the most land-based revenue at $68.7m, an increase of 20.4 per cent. Valley Forge Casino Resort was the next top earner bringing in $56.5m, up 31.7 per cent with Casino Parx in third place with revenues of $54.9m, marking a decrease of 4.2 per cent. Rivers Casino Filadèlfia generated $49m whilst Wind Creek Betlem brought in $43.8m.

Slot machines were down slightly at $199m, marking a decrease of 2.1 per cent with less machines in operation at 25,497, compared to 25,717 last year. Table games revenue for October 2022 was $79.8m, falling 10.4 per cent from October 2021.

Online casino gaming saw an increase, an increase of 21 per cent to $124.5m whilst sports betting handle came in at $797.1m, up 2.69 per cent increase. Valley Forge Casino Resort led the sports betting market bringing in $22.1m in revenue with handle of $292m.
